2017 marks the 8th annual 5K Walk/Run fundraising event for Autism, held in Regina, Saskatchewan in the A.E. Wilson Park. It’s a great way to enjoy the summer weather, get a little exercise and, most importantly… have some fun!
About Get Active 4 Autism
Solvera Solutions is pleased to be the title sponsor for the 7th Annual Get Active 4 Autism walk in support of the Autism Resource Center. Funds raised during this event goes towards the organizations need for serving persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to support their families.
As a Saskatchewan based company, Solvera is committed to supporting local charities and organizations that align with our employee-driven community support model.
In fact, community support is a key element of Solvera’s culture. We are proud of the volunteer efforts of our people, especially those taking part in the 6th annual Get Active 4 Autism walk.
Autism has affected many of the lives of our employees and partners, either directly as parents and caregivers of children with autism, or through other connections with family or friends. Autism is the fastest growing serious developmental disorder among children in North America. Now more than ever organizations like the Autism Resource Center need your support to help find the answers to the autism puzzle.
We hope you enjoy what is sure to be a fun filled and exciting day!
Get Active 4 Autism was founded by April Predinchuk and Avery Altose in 2010.
April’s son Connor has Autism and so the cause is very close to their hearts. While having coffee one evening, they realized that there wasn’t a local walk/run event for Autism.
In a whirlwind few months, they planned the entire 2010 event, which was a huge success and raised over $10,000 for the Autism Resource Centre’s summer programs!
